It is the three stages of a women’s life -menstruation, pregnancy and menopause that the practices are adapted. Theoretical and practical information will be given based on asana and mudra.

SHADOW YOGA WORKSHOP
Shadow Yoga is a traditional form of Hatha Yoga, the teaching of the Shadow School is based upon ancient Hatha Yogic texts, which state that all fixed forms should be designed to develop the practice of free style. Freestyle is a necessary step in the cultivation of longevity and enlightenment.

Emma Balnaves is the director and teacher of Shadow Yoga and Nrtta Sadhana, and has been teaching yoga for over two decades. Emma has had prior training in classical abllet and Shaolin Martial Arts. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Design, a Diploma in Marma Shastra and five years of part-time Ayurvedic studies in Kerala, India. Emma has been travelling and teaching internationally since 1998.
